Unscripted. 100% real.
Every show at Saigon Improv House starts with a blank page and a few random suggestions from you. We step onto the stage not knowing what will happen next, creating one-of-a-kind stories right alongside you.
Give us a suggestion! What to expect on your first night
- Toss in a suggestionWrite a line of dialogue to drop into the hat, or shout out any job or location.
- Watch scenes come to lifeFrom your prompt, the performers immediately build scenes, invent characters, and play off each other without a script.
- Vote and join inSome nights you hold up cards to vote for the winning team; other nights you can jump on stage to play along.
- Leave feeling lighterWrap up the night with big laughs and a warm connection with the people sitting next to you.
Five kinds of show nights

Graduation Class Show
End-of-term showcase by Level 1 to Level 4 students: short-form games and long-form sets, packed with laughs.

English Shows
Shows performed entirely in English, often featuring guest performers from the US, Canada, France, and South Korea.

House Team Shows
Deeply crafted shows by our House Team and Advanced Improv Project: physical theatre and long-form formats.

Duo Shows
Just two performers setting the scene, switching roles, and carrying the entire story. A rare format in Vietnam.

Jam & Playdate
Open play nights: Improv Playdate, Jam, Movie & Game Night, and friendly competitions with real prizes.

See detailsEight games and formats
From quick few-minute games to half-hour plays, everything spins out of your suggestions.
Film Genres
Shout out horror, romance, detective, or Bollywood, and the performers instantly switch their tone and acting style.
Letter Writing
Two players read letters to each other; whenever someone puts a hand to their forehead, you shout out a word they must work right into the letter.
Word Count
Each player is locked into a number: one can only speak in exact 3-word turns, the other in exact 5-word turns.
Lines from a Hat
Quirky lines written ahead of time by the audience are pulled mid-climax—and have to be justified on the spot.
Occupations
An electrician, a bánh mì vendor, an architect… players step into the role and troubleshoot on the spot.
Monologue
One audience member gives a name, another gives an adjective, and a player steps out to bring that character to life in a monologue.
Long-form
A 15–30 minute piece inspired by a single prompt, weaving multiple storylines together with zero planning.
Improvised storytelling
Someone shares a true story from their life, and the cast turns its details and emotions into improvised scenes.
Upcoming shows
Show dates are announced in waves. On the live site, this section pulls automatically from the show listings.
